This episode had a different feel to me: it was very slick and polished. Premiere episodes usually drag as everything gets resolved from last season's cliff hanger, but this ep just jumped in and hit the accelerator.

Some other thoughts: Jessica was turned after the Vamps came out, so she's never had to hide in the shadows with only her own kind. She's able to hang out with kids much her own real age but I wonder if as she matures as a vampire she'll outgrow humans.

Alcide: Didn't know it was he who helped Bill & Eric hide Russell and he should have been able to sniff out Debbie in Sookie's kitchen.

Tara: Will she become the shows version of Bubba or just have a reboot to her personality?

Arlene: does her baby no longer start fires?

Lafayette - looks better bald.

Pam: Gotta love Pam's attitude.
